Kitchen Update

So it has been quite a while since I posted an update on the kitchen. We have done quite a bit in the last couple of weeks. Up until then we were working on wiring, drywall, mudding & taping. It is amazing how much better a room feels when there is paint on the wall. We spent Thanksgiving weekend painting the ceiling and walls and from there we started putting up the cabinets. That felt even better! Right now, while I give you an update, Aaron is laying the tile. Our neighbor lays tile for a living so he was kind enough to stop by and give Aaron a few pointers and it is looking GREAT! I am so grateful that Aaron is so willing to try new things and has the desire to do projects. It definitely has helped on the pocket book. Last Friday, the people who are doing our countertops came and measured and they called tonight and said that they were ready to install. They are coming on Thursday. I can't believe how fast the light at the end of the tunnel is coming. If you had told me that we would be this close a couple of weeks ago I probably wouldn't have believed anyone. Our goal has been to finish by Christmas and it looks like we will be meeting our goal (with a few details on finish work to complete). MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US!!!
