We are having a baby!!!

It has been way too long since I have updated our blog and part of the reason, besides the excuse of "I just haven't gotten to it yet", has been the fact that I was waiting just a little bit longer...

As most of you know it has been a long wait for Aaron & I to start our family. We have hoped and dreamed of it happening for many years and thanks to the support of loving family and friends we decided to venture down the path of trying In Vitro Fertilization. We weren't sure what the outcome would be, but with many prayers of faith and a lot of hope we are so happy that we have been blessed with this opportunity. We found out we were officially expecting a few days after Christmas so we couldn't have asked for a better gift from each other and our loved ones.

12 Weeks along

Since my last blog posting we have been busy doing many things. We were able to take a trip with Aaron's family to Moab, UT and do some Jeeping. A first experience for me personally and one I will not be forgetting anytime soon.

Also, I have taken up a new hobby thanks to my sister-in-law, Myra. In the fall Myra asked if I wanted to join her and Janette, Aaron's Mom, in a Knitting Group they had been attending. I decided to give it a try and to date I have knitted a scarf, 2 Christmas Stockings for Aaron & I and I am currently working on a sweater. I'm excited to find out what we are having so I can pick a new project for the baby. It has been a lot of fun and I have found it to be quite relaxing. My family keeps telling me that if I had started doing this earlier I could have saved myself a lot of money, since I love to buy sweaters. I definitely have a greater appreciation for anything knitted and I find myself checking out the stitches on any sweaters I see in the store or on family and friends.

My progress so far

As for Aaron, his birthday is tomorrow. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AARON!!! He has been such a great help to me, during the 1st trimester, in between all of his jobs that he keeps busy with. Lately he has been very busy helping others with their various car repair needs while serving in his calling and working full time. His list continues to get longer and longer, but we are very grateful for the extra income that it helps to bring in. Here is a few pictures of him and an engine rebuild he did. He has done 3 already since September and is currently working on another.

Well, I think that pretty much catches you up on what we have been doing lately. I will try and stay more on top of our blog in the future. When we find out if we are having a boy or a girl I will let you know.

Lish, Lish, Lish!!! I am so very excited for you. This is going to be one very lucky little baby. I can hardly wait to hear if it's a boy or a girl. That's when things get really exciting and the shopping and decorating can begin!

We must be due around the same time. We found out we were expecting again (Aug 18) just before Christmas. Your baby's ultrasound picture is adorable. Ours looks like an alien...which could explain why I've been so sick with this one ;o) I hope you have been feeling good.

I'm also very impressed with your knitting projects. That takes a lot of patience. Way to go!

Wow! You just took up knitting - I was expecting some simple beginner projects. Those stockings and the sweater are pretty elaborate. They look great - you are so talented.
